Eşinden boşandıktan sonra, dededen kalma apartmana taşınmak zorunda kalan psikolog Erdem, hiç uğramadığı bu dört katlı küçük apartmanda sadece apartman görevlisi Yakup’un kaldığını fark eder. Taşındığının ertesi günü onu ziyarete gelen Yakup, üst katta yaşayan son kiracının da birkaç gün önce intihar ettiğini haber verir ve ayrılır. Ama hemen ardından bambaşka birisi gibi geri gelir. Erdem bir psikolog gözüyle Yakup’un garip davrandığını fark etse de işin çok daha ciddi olduğunu anlaması zaman alır. Şimdi iki adam bu dairede bir şekilde sıkışıp kalmışlardır ve aralarında apartmanın karanlık tarihiyle ilgili sinir bozucu bir yüzleşme başlar.
[EN] "Kötü Bir Gün (A Bad Day)" is a disturbing dark comedy about class conflict, authority, the search for freedom, our discomforts, and societal codes.
After his divorce, psychologist Erdem is forced to move into a small four-story apartment building that he inherited from his grandfather. He realizes that only the apartment caretaker, Yakup, lives in this building, which he had never visited before. The day after he moves in, Yakup visits him and informs him that the last tenant living upstairs committed suicide a few days ago, and then leaves. However, he immediately returns, acting like a completely different person. Although Erdem, as a psychologist, notices Yakup's strange behavior, it takes him some time to realize that the situation is much more serious. Now, the two men are somehow trapped in this apartment, and a disturbing confrontation begins between them regarding the dark history of the building.
